1. Shohoku vs. Takezono

The story is about a basketball game between Shohoku and Takezono Gakuen High School. Hanamichi meets Yoko Shimamura (the 50th girl who turned him down) again. Yoko's boyfriend, Tatsumasa Oda, is one of the team members of Takezono Gakuen High School. Hanamichi has decided to show Oda that he is no longer a juvenille delinquent but a good basketball player.

2. Rule the Nation! Hanamichi Sakuragi

The story is about inter-high region game for Shohoku and Tsukubu. Win or lose could determine which school gets to compete in the next game with Shoyo, after that a chance to get into the final games, more importantly, a chance to compete in the nationals. Nangou Kouichilou, one of the team members from Tsuskubu High School, falls in love with Haruko! He challenges Hanamichi by saying that whoever wins the game will have Haruko as girlfriend!? On the other hand he Tsukubu coach is a former student of Anzai sensei! Will the student's well-trained team win over Anzai Sensei's wild Shohoku gangster team?

3. Shohoku's Biggest Crisis

The story is about a basketball game between Shohoku and Ryokufu High School. Ryokufu is a private school and has recently formed a basetball team. They invites Shohoku to play their first basketball game. Ryokufu has a lot of good players. The team's captain, Michael (an American with golden hair), has played basketball in U.S. and has just returned from America. The team manager, Eri, chooses to play against Shohoku because Eri has tried to invite Rukawa to join their team while Rukawa just ignored her...she wants Rukawa to regret (but of course she did not succeed!!!).

4. Hanamichi and Rukawa's Hot Summer

 

Mizumasa Ichiro, a junior high student who has played in the same basketball team with Rukawa when Rukawa was in Tomigadka Junior High School, admires Rukawa very much. He has always dreamed to play in the same team and win the IH game with Rukawa when he gets into Shohoku High School. Unfortunately, he has some problems with his knees and will need to have a surgery very soon. He will not be able to play basketball ever again after the surgery. Mizusawa's sister and Haruko work very hard to get Akagi's permission to allow Mizusawa to participate in one of Shohoku's practice games. At first, Rukawa treats Mizusawa unfriendly...he requests not to be in the same team with Mizusawa because "he does not want to be in the same team with a junior high school student"...At the end Sakruagi and Mizumasa Ichiro plays aganist to Akagi and Rukawa. Rukawa always steals the ball from Mizusawa and stops him from getting points...in the end, it was found that Rukawa has done so because he wants to let Mizusawa have a real fight with himself and to give Mizusawa an unforgettable final basketball game. He even gives his jersey to Mizusawa after the game (of course he gives it in the Rukawa way -- just throws the jersey to Mizusawa without a word).
